Probability, distributions, random variables and generating functions, point and interval estimation, testing of hypothesis, non-parametric methods, curve fitting from least square method, Regression analysis, Analysis of variance, Monte Carlo Analysis, Introduction to optimization Linear and non-linear Programming. Stress will be laid on use of statistical packages and Numerical analysis software using MATHLAB/MATLAB Tools.

The Summer Training in IIC starts in immediately after Second Semester gets over. This is one of the most important and essential part of the curriculum, as the students are given the new projects to accomplish in a given time(8 weeks), so that the students will get some exposure to the real time projects.
